Astrology of Love: Beyond Venus & Mars
Ram Dass once remarked, “Relationships are the Yoga of the West.” How does astrology address romance and interpersonal dynamics? The popular Venus/Mars model of relationship is a rather limiting way to explore the richness of love and intimacy. We’ll explore Venus and Neptune, the planets of personal and spiritual love to learn about the relationship between art and fantasy, beauty and illusion. We will also learn from the myth of Persephone, Mercury, and Pluto. All relationships begin with each individual’s chart, so we will learn how to better understand relationship needs from the birth chart. We’ll deconstruct the limitations of one-dimensional relationship thinking and develop more meaningful models of intimacy and engagement that are appropriate for the 21st Century.
